This week is the first week the new Windows Vista has been available. For those of you considering moving to the new platform here are a few things to think about. Check to make sure that drivers are available for your hardware and peripherals; you would find this info on the manufacturers websites. Check you application software for details on Vista compatibility; best place for this, you got it, the manufacturers websites. At this point it would be imprudent just to assume that everything you already have will work with Vista. When we moved to Windows XP many scanners were orphaned. We are assuming that quite a few utility programs will require updates. There is a Vista compatibility check utility available from Microsoft that you might find useful.
